The fashion company MAC was founded in 1973 in Wald / Rossbach, near Regensburg, Bavaria and is still one of the leading manufacturers of women's and men's jeans in Europe. 

It all started with the simple but effective idea to bring a perfectly fitting yet affordable ladies pants on the market - with rapidly visible results. The Women jeans successfully sold was followed the same year, the first men's jeans

 Today MAC sells more than 6 million jeans annually.
